Job Req # 551914Global Logistics Company is looking for:POSITION: Finance/Accounting Manager (Division Controller)LOCATION: Winter Haven FloridaSALARY: $115-125K + BonusDEGREE: Bachelor s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.Prefer MBA, CPA or CMAEXPERIENCE: 4+ years ExperienceRELOCATION: Relocation Assistance (small lump sum)Key needs of the RoleStrong Accounting and Finance Controls BackgroundBudgeting, Payment, ReportingMetrics and AnalyticsStrong Computer Skills including ExcelPOSITION SUMMARY:This position primary role is to function as a hands-on, key member of the multi-location logistics leadership team and is responsible for overseeing this business unit s financial records, general ledger and accounts; preparing financial statements, well analyzed and communicated; all business planning including budgets and forecasts; approving expenditures; establishing and implementing internal policies and controls to ensure efficient, appropriate and adequate invoicing for services, the timely collection of invoice proceeds, and for providing guidance to the logistics leadership team to ensure achievement of our financial and business goals. This position also works closely with operations and corporate finance leadership in support of our collaborative effort to drive increased profitability from our Logistics resources.JOB REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. Reasonable accommodations may be made to ensure individuals with disabilities are able to perform the work functions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead, develop and inspire the logistics finance and systems team resources in support of Logistics/ Transportation Sales/Operations.Ensure accuracy and productivity of day-to-day Logistics activities including use of Truck Mate and other system applications, of Accounts Payable/Cash Disbursements, Payroll, Fixed Asset accounting, Invoicing/billing, Accounts Receivable/Collections, Departmental and Margin reporting.Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recordings of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.Maintain the general ledger, review the monthly close and timely account reconciliations.Issue period financial statements and analyze / review variances (vs Budget / Prior Year) with Management. Maintain stewardship of management reporting and analysis for all departments.Develop and monitor Annual profit plans, Quarterly rolling forecasts and weekly P/L flashes.Maintain strong partnership with logistics leadership and farm operations and sales, identifying service and cost saving opportunities, process improvement and automation. These include optimization of distribution lanes and routes, opportunities to maximize trailer utilization (LTL and/or increased average order size and delivery frequency) and other.Collaborate with Corporate Finance, Accounting and IS teams regarding timely compliance with Audits, Tax, Treasury / Cash management, Risk management, ERP, Labor relations and related matters.EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:Required:Bachelor s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.Prefer MBA, CPA or CMA4+ years of direct experience in accounting, auditing and/or finance role.
