Job Description COMPANY OVERVIEW: Our client provides the products professional growers need to maximize marketable yields and improve profits. They deliver what you need when you need it, in the field or in the packing house. POSITION SUMMARY : The Regional Sales Representative covers the South and Central Florida peninsula from the I-4 corridor to Homestead. The Regional Sales Rep is responsible for growing existing accounts and expanding the customer base in the territory. He/she works independently on the farms of our client’s customers creating value and enhancing the company’s reputation and market position. Everyone in the company works together as a team in a friendly yet professional environment. The welfare of the company’s employees and their families is of the utmost importance. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and grow an existing territory of $6MM in sales. Identify and develop new customers within the territory for the company’s traditional product lines. Execute the company’s distribution strategies to enhance profitability and market penetration. Develop sales of affiliate product lines to growers inside and outside of company’s current markets. Develop strong understanding of customer’s needs and make recommendations both to the customer and to management on ways the company can solve the customer’s problems. Provide key market information to company to keep management informed on trends and opportunities to maximize company’s sales potential. Provide post-sale customer support assuring that company’s products perform to the intended expectations. Represent and promote company to the industry through trade association events and relationships around the industry. Uphold and enhance the company’s reputation for honesty, responsiveness, dependability and courtesy. Perform periodic planning and presentations of territory budgeting, forecasting and analysis. Contribute to the strengthening of the company’s relationship with key suppliers. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 5 years of relevant agricultural experience. Demonstrated success in results-oriented role. Ability to travel overnight 20-30%. Strong relationship building skills. Efficient in MS-Office suite application. Independence, organization and self-motivation. Results orientation and proactivity. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in horticultural/agricultural related field of study. Strong existing relationships within our industry (vegetable & berry crops). Strong background in agronomy or horticulture. Track record of successful sales growth.
